A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL...

Lara Melashenko

Welcome back to another school year! It‘s wonderful to see our halls & classrooms filled with your children! It is our privilege to enter another year of teaching with your kids at CWAA! We recognize that our effectiveness is limited by two factors: the daily leading of Jesus Christ in our lives, and your partnership and support.  As we begin this year, we invite you to pray. Pray for your child‘s teachers, for our school staff, for our goals and objectives. Pray that we would follow the Master Teacher‘s voice and use every opportunity to build on the work you are doing in your home. We will be praying for you too; that God will pour His love and peace into your home and empower you to continue doing the good work of raising His children for eternity. We look forward to what God has in store for us this year! Thank you for joining us on this 2018-2019 education journey, one year closer to His coming.
“Our heavenly Father waits to bestow upon us the fullness of His blessing. It is our privilege to drink largely at the fountain of boundless love. God is ready and willing to hear the sincere prayer of the humblest of His children... Keep your wants, your joys, your sorrows, your cares, and your fears before God. You cannot burden Him; you cannot weary Him. He who numbers the hairs of your head is not indifferent to the wants of His children. " The Lord is full of compassion and mercy." James 5:11. His heart of love is touched by our sorrows and even by our utterances of them. Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind. Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds, He rules over all the affairs of the universe. Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice. There is no chapter in our experience too dark for Him to read; there is no perplexity too difficult for Him to unravel. No calamity can befall the least of His children, no anxiety harass the soul, no joy cheer, no sincere prayer escape the lips, of which our heavenly Father is unobservant, or in which He takes no immediate interest. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3. The relations between God and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul upon the earth to share His watch care, not another soul for whom He gave His beloved Son.” (Ellen G. White, Steps to Christ, p. 95, 101)

PARKING LOT PROCEDURES:

Our parking is a busy place this year due to an increase in enrollment (we have 39 new students this year!) and an increase in the number of students driving to school!
To help keep everyone safe and provide a safe and orderly arrival and departure, we are asking all parents and students to remember the following:

1. Use the sidewalk and cross-walk when crossing the road. Please do not walk on marked bus zones and do not walk in-between buses.
2. Always yield to buses.
3. Do not park in bus drop-off zones - 8:15 – 8:45 am, 3:00 – 3:45 pm. When dropping off/picking up, please park, then come and find your child.
4. Do not stop in the middle of the road or in the bus zone during drop off times and load your child.
5. BUS STUDENTS:
- Go to your buses promptly after school.
- Buses will depart promptly at 3:25 pm (M-Th) & 1:30 pm (F). Buses will not wait for late students.
- No eating on the bus.

Thank you again for your attention and support as we begin this awesome year!

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAPLAIN...
Greetings Students and Parents,

It is an honour for my family and I to introduce ourselves as your new Chaplain family for Chinook Winds Adventist Academy.   Raquel and I have been married almost 25 years, and our amazing God has blessed us with two amazing children, Matheus - 14 in grade 8, and Miquela - 9 in grade 4, both of which are attending CWAA.  I know God has brought us here to Chinook and we are excited to be working with you and your parents.
I want to take this moment to invite each of you to attend our Fall Week of Prayer starting this Monday, Sept. 10 and concluding Sept.14.  The title is Jesus, the Only Way, please pray that God uses me to uplift Jesus ONLY, through the messages I share.

In Christ,
Pr. Paul Antunes
